How does a mastering project work?

Preparing your files.

It’s best to listen to all of your exported files to ensure that nothing went wrong during the bounce. At a minimum, please listen to the start and end of each file to make sure that you captured enough pre/post-roll.

Submitting your files.

I’ll create a Dropbox File Request and send it to you via email. You can use that link to upload all of the files that you’re sending me.

How long does it take?

It really depends on the complexity of your project and how busy we are. In general, we strive to have a completed version for you to review within two business days of the project start.

Reviews, Revisions, and Approval

After printing and ensuring a correct bounce, you will receive a link to the project hoseted on samply.app. You can use any modern web browser to see it. Samply provides lossless, gapless streaming of high-quality audio as well as a convenient way to add time-stamped notes.

Revisions will be made based on any conversations we have, and all revisions will be available on the same Samply project - you can listen to any revision at any time.

When you are completely happy, please provide your approval via email.

Invoicing and Terms

After approval, you will receive a Paypal invoice via email. Unless other arrangements have been made, standard terms are Net 30. That means that the invoice is due 30 days after the invoice date.

You can pay the invoice via any major credit/debit card. You do NOT need a paypal account to pay.

If you have issues paying the invoice or don’t want to use paypal, other arrangements can be made before the project starts.

Delivery

After approval, you will receive an email with a download link. This link will contain one zip file that contains all of your Masters as well as an explanation of how to use each of them.

We will do our best to leave the link active and archive projects as long as possible. But, We cannot guarantee either indefinitely.
